About our hosting platform

We host our own site and our clients’ sites on our state of the art web hosting platform which supports both Windows and Linux operating systems. Its features include:

	100% Dell Servers We only use Dell servers in our Dedicated Server platform. All our Dedicated Servers utilse RAID 1 disk mirroring so either of your two disks can fail without impacting your website.
	100% Cisco Gigabit Network Our network operates on industry-leading network equipment from Cisco Systems. All of our switches and routers are developed by Cisco. Our network is based on 10 gigabit technology, which means that it runs at a speed of 10000 Mb per second - much faster than most web hosting networks.
	Connectivity We operate a multi-homed network utilising BGP4 technology. This means that we have multiple connections to the Internet with different backbone providers. Should any connection fail, then our other connections automatically handle the traffic.
	Security Our data centre is surrounded by a 8ft perimeter fence and monitored by CCTV both externally and internally. Access is by digital key fob only.

We offer independent web hosting solutions. This means that your site and e-mail can be handled by us without obliging you to use any of our other services at all.

As a customer of ours you can choose to have either a dedicated server of your own, or select one of our feature-packed hosting packages:

Our starter package costs only £24 per year, provides 5Gb of web space, up to 1,000 mailboxes and a whole host of other features.	Our mid-level package is priced at £96 per year and offers 20Gb of web space, 10,000 mailboxes and even more bundled features.	At £120 per year, our deluxe account provides you with UNLIMITED web space, UNLIMITED mailboxes and many other bonus features.

Domain name registration

We can, of course, handle domain name registration for you as well. Through our hosting portal at orlandmedia.net, you can search for and register a domain name for your site, and you can do this for a very low fee: for .com domains we charge only £9* per year and for .co.uk domains only £3* per year.
